8 Life Lessons To Think About

What is Life, and When did it begin?

The Oxford Dictionary defines life as the existence of an individual human being or animal. God made man, and by that, I mean male and female. He carved us and molded us as the potter works the clay and finishes their work by drying and adding the fire. In the same way, God finished the creation process by putting into us the breath of life. Our responsibility is to be in touch with our Maker and understand the purpose of our existence. We cannot ignore the formative years and values we learned by being a part of the family unit. I dare say part of our journey to self-discovery and self-evaluation is when we learn from the experiences of others or draw from the wisdom they have to offer. Views on life are discussed below. This will help us have self-reflection, so we can be better versions of ourselves.

8 Life Lessons To Think About

How you approach life says a lot about who you are. Here are some life lessons to think about:

1. Be relevant and innovative. Learn how to create and design something or make a service available that people will need.

2. Your thoughts are powerful, so have the right thoughts. The Bible says in the Book of Proverbs 23 v 7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”

3. Words are also powerful and have the ability to build or destroy so speak the right words.

4. The journey of success begins with a single step.

5. Be open to learning life’s lessons and growing.

6. Silence the voice of fear by speaking words of affirmation. Sometimes, you may feel these affirmations sound like a lie, compared to your present circumstance, but get information and take action for results.

7. Never remain in relationships where respect is no longer served. Watch for those who pretend to be supportive when you are in difficulty but never offer help and undermine your success.

8. Add value to others, there is fulfillment in giving.

Conclusion

Regularly go over the points listed above as a reminder. I would conclude with a quote by Willam Hazlitt, (A Drama/ Literary Critic, and Philosopher) “The art of life is to know how to enjoy a little and to endure very much.”

  1. I love the bit where you said Words of Affirmation may feel like a lie sometimes, especially when one is truly feeling frustrated over a challenge. Those words of Affirmation go out the window. I just breathe, distract myself, go to my drawing board, restrategize, and take action.

    1. @Tyler, well said. Everyone is unique. I do love affirmations, they make me feel better and more confident. The truth is there will be days you will not feel like saying them but the key is to continue and it then becomes part of you.
